(1900 - 1989)

Mary Adda Booth Creech (1900 - 1989), the daughter of Hattie Fraser and John Philip Booth, wore this dress at her 1924 wedding to Fulton B. Creech. Mary, a school teacher, was a graduate of Winthrop College. Fulton served as Chairman of the South Carolina State Forestry Commission, a position he held for twenty-five years. The State of SC dedicated Burnt Gin Tree Orchard near Wedgefield to Fulton for his many years of service.

Mary and Fulton had two children - John S. and Fulton B. Creech, Jr. Mary's grandson, Steve, became Mayor of Sumter in the 1990's.
